Hey Neighbors. It’s been a surreal and stressful month. So, we thought everyone needed a break. Here are a few photos to show you what life’s been like behind-the-scenes for some of our CCA Board members and volunteers during quarantine.

When CCA Outreach Chair Torbin Green shared his idea for a series of environmental “Welcome” installations we were stoked to sponsor the project. The design is cool and they are an attractive way to welcome people to Canton.

Neighbors, we are facing a serious health crisis, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. As details are changing daily, hourly even, it’s hard for us all to keep up. So, here is a list of resources to access the latest information on a variety of topics related to this highly infectious disease.

Our friends at Baltimore Guided have compiled a list of restaurants in SE Baltimore that are offering curbside pickup and/or delivery during the mandated shutdown. We know this is a hard time for our community, so we hope this enables us all to stay at home and/or practice social distancing while still supporting our local businesses.

Canton resident Dr. Raymond Bahr, founder of the Canton History Project, is championing a campaign to place historic interpretive markers throughout Canton to spotlight its rich and often buried history. On Tuesday, February 28, two new markers were installed.

On Monday, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced the closure of non-essential businesses and urged residents to stay home to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

The meeting started at 6:40PM at the United Evangelical Church. Mark Edelson, President, introduced himself and thanked everyone for coming.

The CCA will co-host a 2020 Baltimore Mayoral Forum on Wednesday, March 11 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hampstead Hill Academy.
