CCA EDC meeting - Canton Middle School Redevelopment (Virtual)

Agenda:
1. 801 S Highland Ave - The former Canton Middle School - Chanae Tynes, Senior Project Manager for Strategy and Compliance in the Office of Operations at Baltimore City Public Schools.

Project Overview:
BCPSS, in partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, is initiating a Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify a developer for the Canton Middle Building. This project is part of a Public-Private Partnership aimed at revitalizing the currently vacant property. The redevelopment will include a mixed-use building and a dedicated Pre-K facility for Baltimore City Public Schools. Our goal is to repurpose this space to better serve the community and enhance educational access.

Purpose of Our Attendance:
We would like to attend your next scheduled community meeting to:

  • Provide a brief overview of the project and share our vision.

  • Outline the key steps in the RFP process.

  • Gather initial feedback from community members to ensure their voices are part of the planning.

Please let us know if it would be possible to join your upcoming meeting, as well as any relevant dates, times, or next steps for participation.

Thank you for considering this request. We look forward to the opportunity to engage with the Canton community and discuss this exciting project.
