In April, volunteers gathered to give the Canton Dog Park a refresh. Led by chair Jayne Miller they tidied up the park and replaced older, broken furniture with new chairs. And, thanks to one of our volunteers, they are addressing the fountain area on the big dog side so it doesn't so easily double as a muddy bath! Jayne says that during the cleanup a woman from out of town stopped to look at the park and said, "It is so much better than ours in Arlington, (Va)."

Canton Canopy is a volunteer group, operating under the CCA, working toward a sustainable, healthy tree canopy in Canton. Michael Woollen, the group's Founder, Executive Director, and a Canton resident, tells us more about his passion.

April marks one year since the CCA began producing our e-newsletter, ‘Life in Canton’. I am happy to report that the feedback we’ve received has been phenomenal. It takes a lot of hard work to put the monthly newsletter together and it is so rewarding when we receive emails from all over the neighborhood telling us how pleased people are to have a central source for Canton-related news.
