Hudson Street Fire Fundraiser
/A three-alarm fire ravaged 8 homes in Canton on Tuesday, June 25. Church on the Square and Councilmember Cohen’s office are organizing resources for our neighbors displaced by the fire.
DETAILS: Shortly before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, the Baltimore City Fire Department responded to the 3000 block of Hudson Street. Units arrived to find a dwelling with fire showing through the roof. The fire had spread to adjacent structures, affecting a total of 8 dwellings and 4 rooftop decks. The BCFD escalated the incident to a 3-alarm fire to bring in additional resources to control the situation. Firefighters worked diligently to contain the majority of the fire. There are no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was treated and transported to an area hospital.
