July 4th Celebrations and Fireworks
Mayor Brandon M. Scott announces the return of festivities and fireworks to the Inner Harbor on Monday, July 4, 2022, from 4:00–10:00 p.m. There will be a pet parade, a “Picnic at the Top, a performance by the BSO, and more. Neighbors, grab a blanket or some chairs and we’ll see you at Canton Waterfront Park at 9:30 pm for the fireworks! For details, visit https://www.promotionandarts.org/4th-july-fireworks-are-back.
Since you’ll be able to see an awesome display over Canton, please leave the fireworks to the professionals. Consumer use of fireworks is illegal in Baltimore City. And, it scares animals, can trigger PTSD, could burn down your neighbor’s house, and lots of other not-so-great stuff. So, please be a responsible and thoughtful neighbor and DON’T set off fireworks in the city.

Join CCA Outreach Chair Torbin Green and the Stewards of O'Donnell Square Park every second Saturday of the month to clean and maintain the Park. Baltimore City Recreation and Parks will provide tools (gloves, rakes, trash bags, and shovels) and personnel support. See you this month on July 9 at 10:00 a.m. For details, email info@CantonCommunity.org.
Sidewalk, Tree Pits and Gutters
Neighbors, please be neighborly and keep your sidewalks and tree pits weeded. Also, keep an eye out for debris in the street gutters so water can properly flow to the storm drains. If you are physically unable to maintain the upkeep on your block, give the Beautify Baltimore Brunch Club a shout.
Reporting and Preventing Crime – Tip Line
The Baltimore City Police Department asks neighbors to report crimes via this TIP email: SEDtips@baltimorepolice.org. Security camera footage and photos should be included.
