CCA News: January 2021
/Canton Day of Giving
The 2nd Annual Canton Day of Giving 2021 was a huge success! We had so much fun hanging out with the Exchange Club of Highlandtown/Canton, our neighbors, and guests as we listened to the ORCHKids while collecting toys, food, and coats for those in need.
Thank you to Kevin Koenig, Mary Eve Von Berger, and The Exchange Club of Highlandtown-Canton for hosting their 14th Annual Fill the Square Toy Drive at O'Donnell Square Park. We love co-hosting with them to collect nonperishable food items to donate to Church on the Square, Baltimore, MD.
Thank you to Officers Rivera and Williams for representing the Baltimore Police Department - Southeastern District and for always offering support to our community. Shout out to the BPD for distributing the toys every year!
A huge thank you and high five to Samantha Flores and the OrchKids @ Highlandtown #215. Wow, did they amaze. We loved the Latin Ensemble and Bucket Drummers.
Thanks to CCA VP Amanda Bourgeois and all the board members and neighborhood volunteers from the Canton Community Association and nearby organizations who showed up in full force to help! We see you Zach Spedden, Jayne Miller, Maura Taylor, Emily Todd D’Aoust, Julie Kichline, Adrienne Ekas, Amanda Smit Peters of Highlandtown Main Street, Tray Smith of CEO Baltimore, Brant Fisher, and Burke Coch!
High five to the businesses who donated including (but not limited to) El Bufalo Tequila Bar & Kitchen, Holmes Glorioso Home Group of EXP Realty, 2910 on the Square, Looney's Pub, Mama's On The Half Shell, Best Day Ever, and more!
Lastly, and most importantly, thank you to the community for your overwhelming generosity. You really FILLED the square with toys, food, and friendship!
