Neighborhood Notes: May 2021

DiPasquale’s Italian Marketplace
After 107 years in Highlandtown, DiPasquale’s Italian Marketplace is moving to neighboring Brewer’s Hill. Staring Thursday, May 6, you can find them at 3700 Toone Street (formerly Ceriello’s). Di Pasquale’s is the place for everything Italian in SE Baltimore. Along with the market items, the menu includes house specialties, brick oven pizzas, Italian subs & sandwiches, salads, fresh-baked bread, homemade mozzarella, cappuccino, and cookies like Nonna used to make! We want to extend a big Canton welcome to Joe, his family, and his team! Canton Walk & Talk
The CCA is resuming what used to be called “COP Walks” but with a broader purpose and initiative and a more social aspect. We will be starting and ending at a business, walking a designated route to discuss improvement and safety issues, then returning to the restaurant for some social time. Everyone is invited including residents, business owners, local police, and government officials. In addition to 311/911 reports, we will also be focusing on the Get Lit Canton initiative and other potential improvement projects. Look for these Walk & Talk events to be held quarterly in 2021. Come #GetNeighborly!

Reporting and Preventing Crime – Tip Line
The Baltimore City Police Department asks neighbors to report crimes via this TIP email: SEDtips@baltimorepolice.org. Security camera footage and photos should be included.
