Neighborhood Notes: August 2024

In Memory of Michael Clarke
The CCA is sad to share the passing of Claddagh Pub Owner, Michael Clarke. A staple on O’Donnell Square for over 25 years, Michael was well-known by many. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

“As the CCA President, I will miss the support from Michael as he was so passionate about the business and the neighborhood in general.  He loved being a part of the community and offering help and resources where he could.  As a resident of the 1000 block of S. Curley, I’ve been neighbors with Claddaghs for 23 years and Michael was always a support to me and my family throughout the time. Whether it was letting me use the dumpster, or helping to carry things into my house and even to making my dad and family always feel special when at the pub… I will truly miss seeing my buddy on the block every week.” – Amanda Bourgeois, CCA President
