Snow Removal Guidelines
Winter Snow Removal
Residents are responsible for removing snow from the sidewalk in front of their houses. Per City Code, snow removal is required within 3 hours after the end of a snow or ice event unless the snowfall stops between 3:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m., in which case snow must be removed by 11am. Failure to shovel the snow from the sidewalk in front of one’s residence/property can result in fines.
Winter Automobile Reminder
As the weather gets cold, BPD reminds drivers not to start the car and go back inside to let it get warm. It is against the law to leave a car running with no one in it, which can result in a fine. It also increases the potential for robbery.
Neighbor Check
Please be mindful of helping your neighbors, especially seniors or the physically challenged.
