Light Night Canton – Keeping Baltimore Brilliant
/Light Night Canton, an interactive night of light, music, and family fun in celebration with Light City Baltimore, returns November 9 from 5:30-10:00pm. Neighbors of all ages are invited to play, eat, dance, and create under the lights at O'Donnell Square Park.
The LNC Team is excited to announce that this year Light Night Canton is officially a part of the Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts (BOPA) Neighborhood Lights project. This is a division of Brilliant Baltimore, aka Light City and the Baltimore Book Festival, being held November 1-9, 2019.
What can you expect? An evening that truly shines a spotlight on the positive energy that happens when a community comes together. And, a really great time including:
• Light Installation and Show
• Charm City Skate Park Skateboaders - that's right, we put a half-pipe in the middle of O'Donnell Square!! (should this be “we’re putting” since it’s in the future?)
• Live Music featuring local favorites Hot Mess
• DJ / Dance Tent / Dance Performances
• Canton Food & Drink Vendors / Adult Beverages
• Kids Zone with Games, Crafts & Face Painting
• Glow-in-the-Dark Chalk Tent
• Angelo and Marie's Bubble Show
• The giant CANTON display returns from 2018! Great for posing for photos!
And, since this year’s Brilliant Baltimore includes the Book Festival, we are happy to share that the Canton Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library will be participating as well. Look (for) their Children’s Librarian, Lisa, in the Kid’s Zone!
And, that’s not all… but we can’t tell you everything… so be prepared for a few more new surprises when you arrive!
This is a community event - local businesses & organizations are encouraged to participate!
