The next meeting is Monday, January 14, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. All hearings and council meetings are open to the public; however, you do need a photo id to enter City Hall.
Police Commissioner Confirmation Process
The City Council has formally begun the confirmation process for Dr. Joel Fitzgerald as the next commissioner of the Baltimore Police Department.
The confirmation hearings will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during which residents will be invited to give testimony to the Executive Appointments Committee. On Monday, January 7 at 5:00 p.m. the City Council will question Dr. Fitzgerald. This hearing will be open to the public, but testimony will only be taken from Council members.
The Mayor’s Office is holding two community meet and greets with Dr. Fitzgerald on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
Westside: Jewish Community Center: 5700 Park Heights Avenue • 10:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m.
Eastside: Morgan State University, Morgan Business Center: 4200 Hillen Road • 2:00-3:30 p.m.
There will be a Spanish/English interpreter at this meeting.

Love Your Block Grant
The BMORE Beautiful Love Your Block grant application deadline has been extended to January 18, 2019. Grants will be awarded in the amounts of $500, $1,000 and $1,500 to improve the community space in the neighborhood.
