The Canton Community Association’s Economic Development Committee (the “EDC”) works with the Baltimore City Department of Planning to support reasonable, scalable development in Canton that is in compliance with its guidelines. The EDC also monitors and, when necessary, intervenes on behalf of the community with respect to pending liquor license transfers and renewals and applications for live entertainment and outdoor seating conditional use permits.
The agenda for this meeting consists of the following:
3506 Fleet Street - The owner of this property, which is presently a vacant lot, plans to develop it with two new construction townhomes with garages entered from the alley at the rear. This project will require subdivision approval by the Planning Commission and variances from lot coverage and rear setback requirements. This process is being handled for the owner by Nate Pretl of AB Associates.
2435 Eastern Avenue (next door to B’More Licks at 2437 Eastern Avenue) - Application to expand existing non-conforming (Neighborhood Commercial) use (ice cream parlor) to 1st floor of abutting building at 2435 Eastern Avenue.
