Economic Development Committee
Mission:
The Canton Community Association’s Economic Development Committee (EDC) works with the Baltimore City Department of Planning to support reasonable, scalable development in Canton that is in compliance with our guidelines. Although the EDC does not have any governing authority, it strives to represent the interests of the neighborhood in dealings with the City and State governments.
The EDC evaluates proposed developments on a case-by-case basis. The specifics of the project will determine if a letter of support or opposition will be written on behalf of the proposed development to the Board of Municipal Zoning Appeals (BMZA).
Upcoming Meeting Dates:
EDC meetings are held at the Broom Factory 3500 Boston Street, Suite 225, on the corner of South Conkling Street. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
